There is an old saying, I'm sure you know it: Nay cast a clout till May is out. Well, May is long out now and we are into the second week of June. Far from casting any clout, I'm sitting here with a thermal vest and Arran sweater on me like I was at Christmas time. Now that Global cooling is becoming more established we are going to have to come up with a new proverb. Till May is out, has now become obsolete.
Soon the concern will be, not global warming, but global cooling. An acceptance that annual climatic change is a cyclical thing and not a matter of political opportunism.
